Stunning one-of-a-kind contemporary earrings. These unique Opalized Wood stones are set in a silver structure. The backs are opened to show these amazing stones. They dangle and swing freely on the ear wires.
Opalized wood is a rare stone. It's formed when the wood grains in the petrified wood have been replaced by opal. They come from Indonesia, a volcanic island chain that is active and the volcanic activity produces these unusual minerals and rocks.
2 1/4” long including ear wires. Argentium sterling silver polished honed finish. Handmade in my studio using traditional metalsmith techniques.
