Beautiful and elegant one-of-a-kind contemporary pendant necklace. This stunning opalized wood gemstone is set in a silver structure. The back is opened to show this unique stone.
Opalized wood is a rare stone. It's formed when the wood grains in the petrified wood have been replaced by opal. They come from Indonesia, a volcanic island chain that is active and the volcanic activity produces these unusual minerals and rocks.
The pendant is about 1 1/2” long x 1 1/8” wide on the top. Argentium sterling silver polished honed finish with an 18”-20” adjustable sterling silver clip chain. Handmade in my studio using traditional metalsmith techniques.
